1. How do I know which level I have?

You can assess your level with a quick online test that may be found here Test Your Level. Please note that the online test is intended to give you a quick indication of your level, and is not a comprehensive assessment. If you decide to book a course with us, we will further assess your English level via a phone interview and a pre-course questionnaire.

2. Can I take a trial class?

Depending on course capacity, it may be possible for you to attend a paid trial lesson.  The cost for attending one lesson is €20, and there is no obligation to continue with the course.  For a private lesson, the paid trial costs €30 for a 1-hour lesson.

3. How can I register?

The simplest way to join a course is to register online.  Pick the course that you want, fill out your details, and you are on your way!

4. How can I pay for my course?

The course fee can be paid by means of a bank transfer to the Fluency House bank account.  The full Instructions and banking details will be provided to you when you register.

Please remember to pay all bank charges at your end and save a copy of the transfer confirmation.

5. Where do classes take place?

Classes take place in modern coaching rooms in the heart of Barcelona.

The exact location of the course will be listed on the course information page and will be confirmed prior to the course start date.

Private lessons may also take place at your home or office.  For companies, lessons take place on-site at your office. A travel supplement may be added for addresses outside of the service area.

6. When will I receive confirmation that a course will take place?

About a week before the starting date of a course, you will receive a confirmation, or you will be notified whether the course has been postponed/cancelled.  A course may be postponed or cancelled if there are not enough participants.

7. Will I get a certificate?

Yes, you will receive a certificate stating the length of your course upon completion. This will be a Fluency House certificate and is proof of your participation and successful completion of a language course with us.

8. Do I have to buy any additional materials?

Additional materials such as a coursebook and/or workbook are required for General English courses.  For private lessons and in-company classes, the materials used will be selected by your teacher.  Depending on the goals of the class, a coursebook may be required and is not included in the course fee.

9. What happens if I have to cancel my registration?

Before you register and pay for your course, please make sure you read our terms and conditions.  In particular please be aware of our rules regarding cancelling or postponing your course.

If you want to cancel a course, you must do so in writing.

You may cancel on the following conditions:

  • 14 days’ notice before the course begins: no penalty
  • 7 to 13 days’ notice before the course begins: €45 administration fee
  • less than 7 days’ notice before the course begins: 50% penalty.
10. What happens if I have to change my course?

There is no additional charge to make a change to your course. If there is a difference in the price of the course you want to change to, you simply pay the difference. Any changes are however subject to availability, and an additional placement test may be required.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
